About a week ago, a comet touched down not far from your home. Things since then have been… Strange. The faintly opalescent mist that clings to the hillside. The new life that’s sprung up around the forest. The inhuman wailing in the distance. Something is out there. You need to put a stop to it, before it gets out…

Relict
/’relikt/
English
Noun

1. A species that exists as a remnant of a formerly widely distributed group in an environment different from that in which it originated
2. A survivor

Inspired by Portal at Hill House, by Press Pot Games; Sleepaway, by Possum Creek Games; The Colour Out of Space, by H.P. Lovecraft; and Annihilation, by Jeff VanderMeer, Rel1ct is a GMless solo horror game with expanded rules for two-player play. A hack of Kn1ght, Rel1ct uses the same system of card based prompts with a d6 ‘roll against’ mechanic. The story of the game is tied to the exploration of a strange crash site and showdown with the entity at the center of the mysterious events that plague your home. As with Kn1ght, death is a very real possibility for your character. It is less about heroism and more about exploring the horrors of the entity’s incursion into the world.

Available in digital download form as a 13-page .pdf full of illustrations and content, or a physical Journal-Along book with writing room for 3 attempts and expanded playstyles.
